You know, I've been holding this particular piece in my deviantwatch since you submitted it, 'cause I knew I really wanted to comment something but didn't know what and how. This piece really moved me; It wasn't just the story attached to it, which I can highly relate to, but also the fact that this is an amazingly good photograph. Seriously, I think this is the best I've seen anywhere for a while.
Good luck on your writing, I'd be happy to read the result one day. Depression is a shadow that rarely disappears completely, but I'm sure processing it will help it fade. Even just a bit.
